Home

It's 10:23pm, we're tired, we're dirty, we're stinky, but above all, we are home.

Thanks for following along on our trip. We'll see you next time.

This is one of the reasons it's also called "the million dollar highway. The pictures do not do it justice. We're a stones throw west of Gunnison.

One last stop

HA! One way or another I knew I had the "real" arches in my future. Who knows, if I play my cards right I may even land a job here in Moab.

Sundries

We stopped in town and stocked up on supplies for the night. We're headed back to camp so i'll be out of cell phone range until tomorrow.

Delicate Arch

Jeana tells me "let's hike three miles, there are arches at the end"

Damnit, I was thinking McDonald's! All that walking for nothing.

Colorado River Canyon

Arches NP had no availabe camp sites yesterday. After driving and exploring the area we made camp in the Colorado River Canyon just south of arches along the banks of the Colorado river.

One picture is our campsite. The other is the view from our site.

I still have no reception so i'll send messages when we drive around.

Moab

We're just outside of moab. This may be the last post for a while. I'm not sure what kind of reception we'll have inside Arches NP.

Filler up

Their marketing people should have spent a wee bit more time researching name recognition.

Who needs boring exxon when you can get filled up at kum & go.

Arches National Park

We're off on another road trip. This one is shorter, and more of a camping adventure. We will leave Denver early on Friday 10/26 and drive West to Moab Utah. If all goes well, we'll set up camp in Arches National Park. Like our PCH trip I also plan to blog this one with near real time pictures.

Although Jeana's Xterra is more than capable of handling most terrain thrown its' way, I'm taking my Jeep and plan on doing some off-roading in Moab and Arches. There are some nice 4x4 trails in the area.

It's going to be a shorter trip, 3 maybe 4 days so I shouldn't have as many pictures as our California trip. We plan on returning late Sunday or early Monday morning.
